Hugh Aston Building (Apr 16)
Located off Magazine Square on the edge of campus, Hugh Aston is known for it’s BREEAM credentials and Brise Soleil shading on the windows.
Hugh Aston is home to the Business and Law Faculty, delivering courses ranging from Accounting and Finance through to Law. The building is equipped with a mock court room and a simulated Trading Floor.
The building is fitted with solar panels.

Queen’s Building (April 17th)
Located in the heart of campus, Queen’s is known for its striking architecture, once known as Europe’s largest self ventilating building.
It is home to the Faculty of Technology, Arts and Culture as well as the Institute of Sustainable Futures. It boasts large breakout spaces and specialist lab facilities.

Directions
By foot
DMU is surrounded by pedestrian routes around the city centre, with wide pathways accommodating any and all pedestrians. The DMU campus itself is pedestrianised as well, following redevelopment back in 2016.

Cycling
There are cycle paths situated around the city, with many coming near the campus. Click here for more information.
There is covered cycle storage around campus (Mill Lane by Mill Studios, Queen’s forecourt by Kimberlin Library, Hawthorn Square and Food Village to name a few, click here for a map) with a selection of bike loops around the rear of Hugh Aston. There are showers located in the ground floor of Vijay Patel that can also be used by cyclists.
Public transport
Train – The nearest station is Leicester Station. Leicester Station has frequent direct links to Birmingham, London, Nottingham and more. Click here for more information about the station. The station is a 14 minute walk away from Hugh Aston, but there are frequent buses running towards campus from there.
National Express – The nearest National Express station is St Margaret’s station. St Margaret’s station is the UK’s first carbon neutral bus station and has national bus links around the country. Regional bus – There are many regional buses around Leicester, with the nearest bus stops being a short walk away from the campus. The nearest bus stop is Bonner’s Lane, however just a ten minute walk down the road is St Nicholas Circle. There is also a free shuttle bus called the Hop which runs around the city centre, with a stop for campus at St Nicholas Circle. Click here for more information about the Hop.

There is also a Park and Ride operated from Meynell’s Gorse, Enderby and Birstall through to the city centre. All the Park and Ride buses are electric so offer a low carbon way of travel. Click here for prices, as they are dependent on the amount of users.
