ESD Exchange is being organised as a collaboration between De Montfort University, University of Leicester, Loughborough University and Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK).
The collaboration is drawing on support and insight from several national and international networks:
- The Universities Partnership for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, which brings together all three local universities, local government and other organisatsions for the benefit of our region.
- The Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) for Education for Sustainable Development for the East Midlands, part of the global network of RCEs overseen by the United Nations University.
- The United Nations Academic Impact Hub at De Montfort University, for which DMU serves as a Global Hub for Sustainable Development Goal 11.
- Responsible Futures, delivered by SOS-UK, which brings together universities and student unions to collaborate on ESD across the UK and internationally.
- The UK network of Local Policy and Innovation Partnership Hub Fellows – as a hub fellow, DMU’s Dr Andrew Reeves will support dialogue on place-based approaches to green skills development and sustainability education at the event.
